Our flagship product is the AVI (A Values Inventory). The AVI is specifically designed to discover unconscious priority values:

Some people believe they can just select value names from a list in order to identify their priority values. This process does work in a fashion, however, the values identified are only one's conscious values.

Our unconscious values are our primary motivators. These are the values the AVI is specifically designed to make conscious. The AVI requires you to undertake a forced choice process as this is the only effective way to elicit unconscious values.

The six page AVI Report, "Setting Meaningful Objectives (SMO)" was developed to facilitate making New Year Resolutions which will be kept!

Objectives (resolutions) aligned with values other than your own, will not be kept because they are not really about you. On the other hand, objectives which match your own values will be kept as they are directly related to who you really are are and who you genuinely desire to become.

The SMO is available throughout the year for the purpose of setting meaningful objectives. However, to help you with your New Year Resolutions, until 15 January 2011, the SMO is is available at the special price of $15 (normal price $35).

Energy Field Map

Changes to the Energy Management Sections of AVI reports

The Key Affiliate team have rationalized the four values energy categories from four to three. The old scheme categorizes all values into Maintenance (energy draining), Work (energy neutral), Play (energy neutral), and FreeEssence (energy giving). The new scheme uses just the three categories of: Energy Giving, Energy Neutral, and Energy Draining. Below are the changes in the wording from the old to the new.

Introduction

Old: Living certain values can be energising, living others can be energy draining, and living some values will do little for your energy levels. Thus, in terms of our energy levels, values fall into three categories:
New: The way you prioritise your values significantly influences your energy levels. Certain values can be energising, others can be energy draining, and some values will do little for your energy levels. Thus, in terms of our energy levels, values fall into three categories:

Energy Giving

Old: FreeEssence Values such as Intimacy, Sharing/Listening/Trust, and Leisure/Freesence, fall into this category. They all require sufficient complexity of execution that you are unable to focus on anything else.
New: Typically, these are the values which energise you. They put you in a “flow state”. Values, such as Intimacy, Sharing/Listening/Trust and Skilful Leisure, are in the energy giving category.

Energy Draining

Old: Maintenance Values such as Care/Nurture, Endurance/Patience, and Duty/Obligation can all sap our energy. They usually require you to put aside that which you would like to be doing for the benefit of someone else.
New: Typically, these are the values which drain your energy. Values such as Care/Nurture, Endurance/Patience and Duty, when they are your main focus, are likely to drain your energy as they can keep you from paying sufficient attention to your energy giving values.

Energy Neutral

Old: Work and Play Values such as Work/Labour, Play/Recreation, and Communication/Information. These values generally require little mental effort and your mind is free to roam where it will.
New: Typically, these are values which have little impact on your energy levels. In most situations, living these values requires little mental attention/energy to remain focused on ‘the task in hand’. Values such as Work, Organized Play, and Communication/Information fall into this category.

Explanation of Graph

Old: The graph below indicates the relative percentage of mental energy you have devoted to values in these categories. If the graph shows that you scored higher on maintenance values than the other categories, this could indicate a stressful lifestyle. In which case, you may want to review your lifestyle so as to spend less time engaged in activities that you find mentally and emotionally draining and more time engaged in activities that give your energy levels a boost.
New: The graph below indicates the relative percentage of mental energy you have devoted to values in these categories. If the graph shows that you scored significantly higher on Energy Draining Values than Energy Giving Values, this could indicate a stressful lifestyle. In which case, you may want to review your lifestyle so as to spend more time engaged in activities that give your energy levels a boost.

Typos

If you find any typos in the online AVI reports please add them to this Blog and select the "Typo" label for your post. Here are a couple to start it off:

"I noticed on BP Map for ... in the People Servant box the 2nd paragraph starts with "you" instead of "your"
"On World Views Map (Table) in LAM workbook the leadership style of Self-Actualisation/Service world view has incorrect spelling, "Liaise Faire" instead of "Laissez-Faire"

AVI Functionality

Two Suggestions:

I propose we provide an addendum in the AVI Inventory explaining people may observe different spelling of particular words and why.

We correct the Optimal Performance Model so that the arrows are correctly positioned or will print correctly, if that is the problem. Perhaps this has already been corrected & I just don't have a copy????
As they currently exist, the arrow does not always originate in the center of the Venn Diagram.

The Values Map now has a legend showing the colours used in the value priority categories. This makes it close to 100% equivalent to the PC based version.

Rona Lynn Fitzpatrick asks," Is there an error on page 10 WVM where it states that, 'The gold shading highlights your focus values. Your foundation values are those shown above the gold shading. Your vision values are those highlighted with the gold shading.' Should this last sentence read below the shading?" Your right Rona Lynn, this typo has now been fixed.

New PDF Format for Online AVI Reports

All online AVI Reports are now created on-the-fly as PDF documents. This gives tighter control over the display and print format.

Also, all online AVI Reports, of a particular type, can be produced in a single PDF document for all people in a group.

These PDF AVI Reports can then be saved, printed or easily emailed using your browser's "email page" functionality.

Language in the AVI

At the request of people using the in the USA I am changing, in the USA's AVI Reports, the word "Enabler" to "Facilitator". As Gunther Weil says: "..as you know, common vernacular use drives meaning and the word 'enabler' here (US) has become associated with co-dependency and substance abuse."

AVI Reports in Australia will remain the same, for, as Karynne Courts points out: "I floated it [changing from 'Enabler' to 'Facilitator' past one of my clients this morning... they prefer enabler.. they said facilitator implies lack of 'ownership'... i.e. they’re facilitating the process but not directly involved!"

Online Reports

Current development effort with the AVI is directed towards creating custom, individually branded, online reports. Each report is available via MissionControl only to the Accredited AVI Consultant who requested the particular report format.
